Are you looking for a summer camp in Budapest that inspires your child's creativity and curiosity through engaging activities that promote social and environmental impact? You've found it!


Our innovative camp format provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for your child to develop their strengths and talents in a supportive and nurturing environment, while being the driving forces of a project for social/environmental good.


Young changemakers summer camp - Budapest 2023

For whom? children aged 6-12

When? We offer two different one-week-long camps, each with a unique focus:

  • 26-30 June 2023 Young Changemakers - Sustainability (Re-Creativity, Microgreens)

  • 3-7 July 2023 Young Changemakers - Entrepreneurship (Creating Your Own Game)

How much? HUF 95,000/week/child (which includes meals 3 times a day)

Discounts:

  • Early bird: 15% discount if you complete payment by 31 May 2023

  • Sibling: 15% discount for the next sibling who joins the camp

  • Full-experience: 15% discount for the 2nd week of camp

Discounts cannot be combined.

What to expect

A unique and personalised summer camp that celebrates diversity and fosters positive change. Led by experienced and dedicated educators and changemakers, your child will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in hands-on activities and projects that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and innovation

  • Learn English in a fun and engaging environment that foster language development and cultural exchange

  • Immerse in nature-based activities in the afternoons: sports, outdoor games, and exciting challenges

  • Enjoy delicious lunches from our plant-based canteen The Planteen, plus fresh snacks - with special attention given to dietary needs and allergies


What to bring

  • A water bottle with your child's name on it

  • A sun hat

  • Comfortable shoes/sandals

  • A change of clothes

  • Good attitude and eagerness for some fun

To ensure a safe and fun environment for all campers, we kindly ask that no mobile phones or other electronic devices be brought to camp. If you need to get in touch with your child during the day, our staff will be happy to assist you.


FAQs

1. My child does not speak English well, can he/she enjoy an English camp?

Don't worry if your child does not speak English fluently, we will communicate with them, and they will learn by immersion and participating in our activities, including arts, crafts, ball games and sports, board games, outdoor games, and more.


2. Where is the camp?

Combining the best of what urban life and nature can offer, the summer camp is held at REAL School Budapest. Located in Óbuda, it's right next to the Danube river, at a stunning location in the middle of the academic area of Graphisoft Park. Our neighbours are higher education institutions, research and development organisations, startups and technology companies. We have direct access to a large green space for free play and for our very own urban raised-bed food garden. The proximity of the Danube and the Óbudai Island is a major plus - in a few minutes we can jump into a huge pile of leaves, take a bike ride or read under the trees. Read more


3. How are camp groups divided?

Campers are divided into age-appropriate groups, determined by the group's counselors,
